I think we need alt text for posts, not just images. I’m assuming these are all soccer-related, but hard to know for certain.
Comptroller DiNapoli won yesterday's primary, but vote patterns in key NYC cong. districts are interesting. Map shows that except for NY12, he only got just above 50% in each of these CDs. Lightest-shaded EDs = less than 40% of vote; see especially NY7 & 10. In NY7 he only got 44% of vote overall.
Here's a quick view of NY13's unofficial results, comparing each candidate's vote share (on left) with turnout (number of votes, on right) by election district. Size of each ED's pie chart represents total votes cast; slice of pie is each candidate's share. 1/2
Looks like they're strongly in Lander's court! The election district - 45 in the 51st AD - extends beyond the cemetery boundary just south; see green rectangle in the screenshot. That is presumably where the voters are. Otherwise we mask the cemetery itself to avoid confusion. Fun with maps!
Updated NY12 map with 95pct of scanners reporting, after Assm. Lasher declared winner. Overall vote contours similar to earlier map, especially the patterns above (Lasher) and below (Bores) 59th St.
Solid support for Rep. Espaillat in NY13 in upper Manhattan and the Bronx portion of the district, but not strong enough. We'll have to do a separate turnout map for this district (number of votes per ED).
Decisive vote support for Brad Lander, especially in Brooklyn (except for Borough Park) but also in Manhattan's East Village/LES. Map based on about 80pct of scanners per NYC BOE.
Upper West Side definitely, but also something of an "uptown/downtown" split.
