Gender Critical Transphobia really is a brain rot cult. I've blocked so many people today for shouting "trans women are men" at me in my comments, like they're achieving something profound. 🙄
I made it to @ukge.bsky.social so here's the annual car park selfie. Traffic was fine and I only had to queue for ten minutes for the car park. If you're there and you'd like to catch up, message me - I have time this afternoon and I'll be presenting the official networking event from 8pm.
So the EHRC just decided to effectively repeal the Gender Recognition Act on a Thursday afternoon, then go on holiday. WTF?
The BBC have responded to my escalated complaint about them platforming Martina Navratilova. It comes down to, "Well, she wasn't on air at the time she sent that tweet, so we're not going to do anything." They won't even acknowledge she's done anything wrong. bsky.app/profile/aida...
Friday 29th May 2026 I'll be at @ukge.bsky.social hosting the Publisher-Designer track networking event, sponsored by @pandagm.com It's a fantastic opportunity for designers, publishers, and other industry professionals, to meet people across the Board Games and TTRPG industry.
Same. They *completely* avoided my actual complaint, which tells me they just made a single copy/paste response for this. I've escalated it due to this. Here's my escalation.
Well, this is going on, and they're happily contributing to it.
They're making a political choice here - they claim the Supreme Court brought “clarity”. What they mean is, they’ve decided which interpretation they want, and they’re going to run with it. 2/5
Today's government statement is a warning shot. They’re reframing the Equality Act around “biological sex” as if that’s the default, which it isn’t. The law is about proportionality and inclusion, not blanket exclusion of a minority group. 1/5
Back in the day, I joined in with all of the Chuck Norris memes—they were funny and hurt nobody. It's 2026 now, and for over 14 years, Chuck was telling us who he really was. Please don't do the "You can't talk ill of the dead" apologist thing when people call out Chuck Norris' extreme homophobia.
I grabbed Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 for £10 to see what the fuss was about, as I'm not normally a fan of FF style turn-based combat games. Damn, this is good.
These checker services aren't always correct (they sometimes flag professional writers for not making mistakes), but they're a decent fallback check.
Really disappointed that the email I received from @zackpolanski.bsky.social and the @greenparty.org.uk seems to be AI generated. The circled phase is such a giveaway once you recognise the patterns that AI generates. Please can we be better? I say that as a member and advocate. 💚
Merry Christmas all, from @dravenxivuk.bsky.social and me! Hope you will have a wonderful time. 💜🎄
I fully understand the advice of not posting publicly for my own mental health, but I'm ok and there's a lot of good comments too. I block and move on - napalm era.
TW: slurs and toxic language in image. Ever wondered what facebook looks like for a trans woman who posts publicly? Here's just some of the stuff from facebook in the last 24 hours: 1,209 comments hidden or deleted. 1,032 of those by auto-moderate, which is something at least!
I STG, almost all of the trans women I know are amongst the most caring and selfless people I've met.
Checking my Trello board, this is the art I saw that inspired me, which is by the excellent teabag.cartoon on IG from 5 years ago. I switched Abusive to Ableist due to a discussion on a reddit thread that gave me the idea in the first place.
I love that I've seen my design posted in all sorts of different places on social media. I just discovered that Anne Lesniak posted almost the same design 3 days before my quoted post, but I'd been tinkering with getting this one just right for a few days. Like, WTF?
But the moment a trans woman actually wins something? Their social media statement suddenly declares the opposite of their own policy: “Competitors can only compete in the category for the biological sex recorded at birth.”
The policy spells out the hoops we have to jump through: medical documentation, hormone requirements, oversight. Trans women follow the rules. We do everything asked of us just to compete. (and there is no evidence that Jammie broke those rules on the Strongman website)
I just watched "I saw the TV Glow" 😭 Surreal and gripping, but it was when the credits rolled and I thought about it while the haunting music played, that I just burst into tears. I can see why people recommended it now.
"Why was so much of the internet not working properly yesterday?" Well, there's a complex piece of analysis that can be done about that involving multiple factors, but also...
This security dalek in my local Boots chemist. The member of staff I talked to in there was getting really sick of it after just a few days. It activates every time someone enters or leaves the store. I saw one woman walk in and nope back out the store while I was there.
This appealed to me because of the way it expands the classic illustration of equality and equity (we should always be striving for equity over equality) plus it's really on the nose with that capitalism section.
Help me Bluesky! I'm indexing* my movies into collections and created a Sword & Sorcery collection and hit some edge cases. Do the LotR movies belong in this collection? They have swords and magic, but don't feel like that genre. 🤔 * Why yes, I am neurodivergent, thank you for asking
