Woah! I didn't know Wedgewood came in black! This gluggle jug goes hard.

A traditional gluggle jug in matt black ceramic. It is shaped like a fish with its mouth upturned and wide open, and its tail curled around and up to form the handle. A shine of glaze can be seen around the inside of the mouth. As gluggle jugs go, it's metal as fuck.

Green insect on a leaf. It has an elongated body and pretty transparent wings with veins giving a lace effect. The bug has long antennae.

I'm reading Annihilation by Jeff Vanderneer, and oooohhhhhh its so creepy, I'm loving it.

10th anniversary paperback edition of the book, with an illustration of a creepy distorted wild boar, plants and fungus growing out of it. The cover has foiling on it, shining in a holographic rainbow.

Collection of pots and planters arranged against a wooden fence in my paved back yard. There's a small holly tree, an acer, tea rose, nasturtium, daisies, carnations, a bunch of lilies yet to flower. Lots of different greens and textures. It's peaceful and plentiful.

The most perfect, tiny pale pink rosebud.

I went to where the growing things are again. Now all the tomatoes are planted out and I've set up my teasel/ verbena container.

Did some slow gardening today, sat on my folding stool. Got most of the tomatoes into the "ground", and repotted my acer.

Krenko eating a carrot stick in the playpen. He is wheaten burmese, which means he had beautiful sandy-brown fur ticked with darker brown. It has a warm golden sheen and he has darker brown points on his nose, ears and tail. He has big black eyes and is a remarkably pretty rat.

Saw these guys having a snuggle earlier

Bug, an older black hooded rat with a groomed bald spot by his ear, is sleepily snuggled on top of Krenko and Francis. Krenko is lifting his head to greet me despite being on the bottom of the pile.

Gardening is the best tonic. 10 minutes sat in my wheelchair in the garage with the door open, sowed my new giant black pansy seeds. The holly tree is covered in flowers and had a bee buzzing about. Bliss. My new flowers should look like this:

We got out yesterday to @wwtworldwide.bsky.social Washington. Blissful afternoon in nature, it was so good to be out of the house for the first time in weeks.

Snipped a few blooms from the garden, damaged by the wind.

When you can smell the new rat babies in the room and you're SO EXCITED to meet them.

We collected our new rats yesterday 🥳 They're 3.5 months so we're going to introduce them to our 1 year rescues this weekend. Krenko (wheaten) and Gus (siamese). Krenko is very confident and outgoing, Gus is the opposite - laid back and sleepy. I love them so much already.
