DIY plumbing update 2: found some replacement parts at home (thanks, Daddy!) & removed extra c-clamps and put up an extension tube instead. Still minute leaks, will get plumbers paste/putty tomorrow. Small leak around hot water valve now, too, I need to tighten nut more, will finish tomorrow.

DIY Plumbing update: was able to loosen water shut off valves, removed & cleaned the P valve. All nuts and o-rings seem to be in good shape. Reassembly was more challenging. Visited local hardware store & showed pics to staff: good advice on how to reassemble and options for an extender if needed.

Welp, woke up to the previously cleared porch and sidewalk full of drifted snow & topped with sleet. 🙃 After 20 mins I was able to clear this little bit so at least we can open the front door. The rest of the sidewalk is a block of ice. No plows on our roads yet. #Frozen #Snowday
