Are you sure you're not accidentally engaging in the Goomba fallacy? (see fig. 1)
I think I'm definitely doing something wrong in Mewgenics....
To complete the trifecta of games I can't help but obssess over it's Triangle Agency by @calebzane.bsky.social and Sean Ireland It is my favourite game. I can say that with confidence. Everything about it hits exactly my points of interest, up to and including the way the game presents itself
Just to continue with games I'm currently very active in, everyone knows I'm obsessed with His Majesty the Worm by @riseupcomus.bsky.social This dungeoncrawler with tarot based mechanics is something I waited months and months for and is worth every penny spent
I wanted to write more about games from people I don't talk to but I'd be remiss to not mention HYPERMALL: UNLIMITED VIOLENCE by @ratbastardgames.bsky.social A game that deeply loathes the current economic system to the point it gets funny again. Writing that you can feel in your liver.
Rogue, second edition. For one, I have a bit of an obsession with the archetype of the dungeoncrawling rogue, who's only tools are their own wits and the stuff in their pack (like odysseus) so this game is really scratching that itch. And also the real time elements are super interesting to me
First one: GREED by Gormengeist. This one consumed my mind for a couple months. Phenomenal writing, atmosphere so thick you can slice it. Boils down the physically and socially violent core depicted in OSR games as the status quo and makes it a central theme. You can play as JFK.
