It neglected to monitor prevailing market conditions. Employees warned Claudius that it wouldn’t sell many of its three-dollar cans of Coke Zero when its closest competitor, the neighboring cafeteria fridge, stocked the drink for free.

We have only 16 spots per issue (12 in print and 4 on our Substack, With Bite) and we remain committed to publishing the very best of new and established writers. Any AI-generated work will not be considered for publication.

The burden of suspecting, checking and confirming that a writer has used AI falls to our readers, which means the time spent on these submissions far outweighs the time spent reading work written by humans, not to mention creates extra work for our already very hardworking team. We also find that this work is almost always awful.
