This plant at Kew Gardens has been living in a pot longer that the United States has existed.

I was recently in London and went to the Grant Museum. The world famous Glass Jar of Moles was taken off exhibit for a CAT scan. But something went wrong and the moles were exposed to high levels of gamma radiation. Now they have merged into one giant mole and are on the verge of escape. Run!

I love traveling. But the best part of traveling is coming home to your own bed, your own pillows, your own shower and familiar food. Just back from 2 weeks, mostly spent in Bulgaria.

Currently in London where there’s a tube strike. Majorly impressed that when I arrived at a station where the line I needed wasn’t running that there were people there to help direct confused tourists on How to get where they’re going. Still much easier to get around than LA

Now that there’s a happy ending let me tell you about the time Katydid got out. I was in my home office, working, and started to hear her meow. Which was weird, she was a quiet cat. So I started looking for her. Her voice got louder and louder as I moved toward the back door. 1/n

The world’s cutest cat. Katydid was a calico point Siamese color, so where Siamese have dark areas she had calico. She was also polydactyl and had a bob tail. We adopted her when she was about 7 and had her for 14 years. Her personality was as amazing as her appearance. It’s been a decade and I still miss her.

Guess what I did today? Home made blueberry scones. The trick now is to not eat all of them this afternoon.
