Dan Orlovsky having to recuse himself when discussing this masterpiece.
This is the most recent photo of a card I have. I need to spend some time organizing and enjoying my collection.
Here’s a mid-June snapshot of the garden. We have strawberries, tomatoes, peppers, green beans, and okra growing in addition to a number of flowers and native plants.
As a Matt absolved of his sins this week, I am making a 2nd donation to bank some future absolution. $19 (plus fees) for 19 games Auburn scored 21 pts or fewer under sinner Hugh Freeze. Praise Auburn Jesus he is gone. @edsbs.bsky.social @hollyanderson.bsky.social @newap-georgia.bsky.social
I’m on my way to see the Sharks play, but wanted to take a moment to recognize the most enjoyable football game of last season: Alabama getting drubbed by Indiana, 38-03 (plus fees). #PTKU @edsbs.bsky.social @hollyanderson.bsky.social @shutdownfullcast.bsky.social
Newest pickup for my card collection: 2004 Upper Deck Legends Timeless Teams Boog Powel autograph.
My card collection highlight for tonight: 1969 Topps Deckle Edge and 2012 Topps Archive Deckle Edge Bob Gibson. Awesome pitcher and super cool cards.
Had these out for a while. Hoping for some organizing time this weekend.
I picked up a couple of Acuna and Strider cards for my Braves album at the show a few weeks ago. Looking forward to the April show and digging in those .25 and .50 bins again.
I love vintage cards that feature multiple players. It’s often an affordable way to get a card of hall of fame player.
Recently picked up rookie cards of Ernie Johnson, Sr. and Bert Blyleven.
I recently added Felipe and Matty Alou rookie cards to my collection.
I can’t sleep and needed to have some moments of joy, so I thought I would share the newest additions to my Bo Jackson card collection.
This is my favorite that is currently on camera roll. I love the 1989 Topps design because it was the first set I built.
Still have 3-5” of sleet/ice north of Memphis. I tried to make a dent in it yesterday with a shovel and a pitchfork, but basically wore myself out to clear a small patch. We’ve now called a professional who will hopefully show up this afternoon and clear the driveway.
And I love the 1980-81 Topps basketball set. I doubt I will ever have the Magic/Bird rookie, but I like to pick up these cards when I see them. This one features 2 all-star players and 1 hall of famer.
I’ve been a fan of the Alou family since Moises debuted in the majors when I was 10. My grandparents loved watching Felipe and Matty. I had a chance to grab a Jesus rookie card, so I did.
Picked up a 1949 Bowman Tommy Holmes rookie card. It may not be in the best shape, but it looks good in my collection.
Picked up a 1939-46 Exhibits Salutation of Tommy Holmes through the mail. Again, I can’t help but think that 10-year-old me would be super psyched about picking up a vintage card. I’m pretty psyched at 46.
