The source appears to be Danielle Kinchella-Pistilli, a Freedom Convoy organizer & head of the North Shore chapter of Action4Canada (an extremely discriminatory nationalist organization). Am I supposed to be ashamed that I'm against fascism? I'm so confused. Anyway, trans lives matter.

22 days until the North Van-Capilano by-election & I am completely over this campaign. "Real local" is so painfully adjacent to "Old Stock Canadians." I've never seen this guy around town & his only media mentions are promotions for his own campaign. But sure, "real local."

Thiele has been door-knocking for CPC candidate @specurran & is also somehow involved in a Freedom Convoy-flavoured Vancouver municipal party TrueBlue Vancouver, which lists Frederick Theile as director operating out of Richmond. (Chocyk is also a longtime anti-LGBT avtivist.)

Remember when a bunch of anti-Indigenous pundits started crying because a Nation booked out one single campground for 5 days? Now all campgrounds are closed & under an evacuation alert due to the Fiftynine Creek wildfire. Hwy 97 access is cut off because the highway is closed.

The housing facility I spoke about in the video below — which would have put hundreds of young girls at risk by allowing drug use *right next door* to one of the North Shore’s largest dance schools — will no longer proceed in this location.

This shows what we can achieve when neighbours & community members stand up together for basic common sense!💪

We need housing units and we also need drug treatment facilities. BUT we need to do it smart and keep our kids safe, first and foremost.

“Police are releasing photographs of the individuals and the electric dirt bikes involved in hopes that members of the public may be able to assist investigators in identifying those responsible,” said Sgt. Zynal Sharoom of the Langley RCMP.

So...VPD posted an AI slop photo of a drug bust, deleted the post, and reposted a 'corrected' version of the photo. Thankfully the Tums turned into coins and the bills look more like legal tender. Cops using AI to generate politically-motivated content seems like a pretty big deal.

#VPDNews: The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) has made significant progress in disrupting drug trafficking and street disorder around the Commercial–Broadway corridor during welfare cheque‑issue week.

In the past 24 hours, the VPD has made nine arrests for possession for the purpose of trafficking and seized more than 114 grams of packaged drugs, along with over $3,000 in cash. This announcement comes one day after VPD issued a public warning following seven overdose incidents occurring at the same time near East 10th Avenue and Broadway.

Officers have been conducting targeted enforcement around Commercial Drive and Broadway, an area that historically sees spikes in drug activity, violence, and overdoses during welfare cheque‑issue week.

When VPD officers attended one of the overdose incidents yesterday, they located multiple weapons, including a samurai sword and several knives.

“Our teams have been working tirelessly to curb drug trafficking and disorder in the Commercial–Broadway area during this high‑risk period,” says Acting Inspector Astrid Bonter, District three Commander. “The arrests and seizures made over the past day reflect the dedication of our officers and our commitment to reducing overdoses and disrupting the flow of toxic drugs through this corridor.”

Vancouver Police will continue targeted enforcement to enhance public safety and reduce harm in the community.

This is such a weird non-story. Many in the Canadian far-right encourage their followers to move to Mexico for "safety reasons," for which they mean "Diversity is scary & I experienced consequences for my hate 😭" A quick look at the person's account clears up any questions about their motivations.

According to social media posts, Amrit Birring has been charged with mischief over $5000 [s 430(3) of the CCC] over the weekend for defacing a Pride crosswalk in Surrey on May 30 as a protest against anti-2SLGBTQIA+ people. He is required to appear in court on July 28.
