I'm really enjoying just sitting in the evening with something nice on in the background, stitching away.
Finished this piece, a kit by @bealiceembroidery.bsky.social Really pleased with the end result, can't wait to hang it up now!
Seeing Legally Blonde last night was joyful and curative. I love this show and have been waiting absolutely forever to see a professional production of it. This did not disappoint and if I could go again tonight I would.
Not well enough to march in trans & intersex pride today, but I'm stitching in solidarity, because this household includes, respects, and loves *all* mná. Trans rights are human rights, and my trans sisters deserve respect, love, and the ability to just live their god damn lives.
Ok, let's see if some joy can be found in my favourite pair of (tap) shoes. Feeling quite down since my nana left us, to be expected but still hard to shake off nevertheless.
My beautiful nana left us unexpectedly this morning. We just celebrated her 90th birthday recently with a big family party where we revisited a tradition we started with her at my wedding - shots with nana. Today feels unreal. I was just with her at the weekend and she was fine.
Rob is sick of hearing my bakderdash about the gender pay gap. Also, peep those auto reply messages that Google generated. It doesn't know me very well at all if it thinks I'd reply "very well said" here...
Here are two pay gap report links for the same entity (HIQA). www.hiqa.ie/sites/defaul... is the original PDF www.genderpaygapireland.gov.ie/explore-data... is the data in the government portal. Looking at the image I've extracted from the PDF, can you see what's happened here?
Ideally I like to get a box it'll all fit in, though the thermometer rarely does.
It was our third wedding anniversary during the week and the traditional gift is leather, so naturally I chose a pattern that was ridiculously complex for my level of "having done zero projects and one class". Made it work though, and now husband has a fancy guitar maintenance kit bag.
It's lashing rain, so it's konbini dinner tonight, courtesy of 7-Eleven. The availability of fast, excellent food at convenience stores here is just unmatched. So many options, hot or cold, and even microwaves and hot water in store for your food. This is anything but a compromise dinner
Shukkeien Garden might just be one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. Like stepping into Zelda or your favourite anime for real.
Anyone hungry for war and the devastation it brings should be forced to walk through it, listen to every second, see every image.
They say you can't buy happiness, but have you tried my spiritual home? Fabric Street in Fabric Town. I'll need a suitcase just for fabric 🙈
Good news! My hotel water has been magnetically activated, so I will absolutely be able to restore my magnetism while I stay here. A huge relief.
Ok look, I'm not saying we're too far through the looking glass here, but crimson cherry apple cherry taste Fanta seems like an abomination unto god so maybe we should check ourselves?
Me: posts a detailed data-driven explanation about why the gender pay/earnings gap is real. This dude: "there isn't a pay gap if you take away all the things that cause the pay gap". His bio is.... interesting
On the Muslim Sisters of Éire Facebook page. Totally normal protester behaviour. Definitely great to support people like this
I really want a cute pair of loafers, I just wanna join cool loafer club like all the cool girls I see wearing them. But I fear we have taken loafers too far. www.pamelascott.com/products/jan...
