Finally got a reply to my letter to @rushanaraalibgs.bsky.social and to say I'm disappointed in her response is an understatement.
The single stupidest thing about 3rd labellers continues to be the fact it's impossible to prevent them from using labels not in their service record. It's the very first thing I'd change about them at this point, tbth — it's actively preventing me from recruiting new help for XBlock.
This is razor sharp in a way I've not read from any other writer on the topic. So many lines I could quote. It's absolutely excellent. Go read it.
If you hijack one of my posts to do this kind of shit, your ass is immediately getting blocked.
Managed my daily German language challenge (getting my nails done at a salon in Berlin) 💪🏼

There's a great exchange in it, where the quiet engineer CEO begins conflicting with the shouty nontechnical CEO he hired to navigate the company (performed brilliantly by Glenn Howerton) Rent-free in my mind as we navigate the next few years:
The talk by @knotbin.com about ATProto interoperability was awesome and it's so cool they're open sourcing @sprk.so bsky.app/profile/sprk...
@kandake.africa's talk about private data was a highlight, she's done some amazing work with Stratos. And check out these amazing docs! stratos.zone
I could listen to @dame.is talk about moths all day; delightful presentation. @anisota.net is super cool and more people should check it out!
Got a lovely shout-out in @devingaffney.com's phenomenal talk earlier. 😊 Always a joy to hear Devin speak; few people have their finger on the pulse of this ecosystem like he does. Probably my favourite talk of the conference so far.
Debuting at #atmosphereconf just now: @sebastian.eurosky.social showing off the new @eurosky.social portal Honestly this is such a cool approach by Eurosky: become an infrastructure layer instead of a competitor social media app
