Christian. BLM. YIMBY. Terminally online.
I'm imagining going to a convention where Biden controls 26% of the delegates, Sanders 22%, Warren 15%, Bloomberg 10%, Buttigieg 7%, Klobuchar 4%, etc... and needing to hash out the candidate and the platform there.
Oh, OK. Missed that these probabilities don't add up to 66%, not 100%. So within the remaining 34%, there are possible matches that don't contain the US.
I really don’t get why liberalism is such a dirty word in so many leftist spaces, given that like of the entire opening paragraph of the Liberalism page on Wikipedia, the highlighted bit are the only ones that run opposed to even full-bore socialism. Everything else sounds nice to have regardless.
Probably my favorite quote from Marx: "The tradition of all dead generations weighs like a nightmare on the brains of the living." It really does feel like that sometimes.
Nikko National Park makes for a great day trip from Tokyo. Kegon Waterfall there is gorgeous, especially if you get a view from the bottom around the time of sunset. This picture is from May of last year.
This would heavily interfere with the nice view of the Lincoln Memorial you can get from the top of Arlington Cemetery.
It's easy to say "Boston" in these discussions, and what that means is all of eastern MA, and southern NH and northern RI. I got priced out of my 1 bedroom apartment in NH (red X) after it went from under $1200 to over $1600 in less than 3 years!
The UI is completely different for me now. I have videos I opened before (left) and after (right) the change and I hate the new one. Also, the UI on paused videos now disappears if you don't have your mouse over the video.
Can a socialist not be a liberal? Just looking at the Wikipedia article on Liberalism, socialism on rules out a very small portion of the description of liberalism.
So you can make the rest a state if you shrink the district to basically just be the stuff circled here.
Benjamin Franklin disagrees. The values aren’t “shifting back” to anything. The name Gulf of Mexico is older than the United States (or Mexico!) being a country. It’s the universally recognized name around the world. It is ridiculous to change it on the whim of one man.
lol r/Civ (which has a number of Firaxis employees as moderators) now has a rule that bans discussion of Luigi Mangione. Just typing the name Luigi in a comment will get you this warning. I didn’t even know this functionality existed in the Reddit app.
@robzacny.bsky.social You describing information gathering as Karrde’s hobbies had me thinking of this
Fucking hell LinkedIn KEEPS TRYING TO GET ME TO FOLLOW VIVEK RAMASWAMY. Fuck off LinkedIn! I got a push notification for it this time (after several emails of the same nature). Why?! (Ignore the other horrible news)
Sorry Great Plains, but New England simply produces better Federal workers than you.
Not for nothing, but this is extremely idiotic because social security numbers AREN’T RANDOM. The first three digits are determined by birth state. I’m sure the 14 Republican Senators from these seven states will love every single federal employee born in their states losing their jobs LMFAO.
