style is substance. artist, programmer, game developer. 36, brazilian, he/him. created slipstre.am
there's no tire screech sound yet, but now it has a more realistic tire model with slip calculations on both ground axes. you can see in the video how the rear wheels spin slightly faster than the front as the car gains speed
if I hadn't seen the channel name I genuinely wouldn't be able to tell if the video is about social life or programming
now with audio! writing a little engine sound synthesizer because sample-based engine sounds just don't work unless you have trillions in budget
a 3D model can become haunted. the car model from the last video has a curse where for some reason the wheels get reduced to 0.5 scale when the game runs. everything in the editor looks fine, all the transforms from blender to godot are 1.0 scale, and yet this happens. cursed file format
got one of the cars from blue hour running with it. the handling needs some improvement to feel good, but that can be done over time
yeah, each wheel is actually just a raycast pointing down I got it from @walaber.com 's tutorial www.youtube.com/watch?v=CdPY...
- queremos jogos que promovam o turismo no brasil - aqui está o jogo que eu fiz - hmmm legal mas essa linhazinha nesse documento aqui tá diferente do que a gente quer, desclassificado
suggestions on how to improve games always sound like this guy's posts to me, people asking for their favorite stuff in all things
