When you have a friend in town so you spend all Friday night deep cleaning and then the lovely adorable dog (pictured ) decides to step in poop and track in in, which means you spend all Saturday morning deep cleaning again.

Went to a conference for a week, then had a work retirement party today. Came home yesterday to a clean house and back from the party today with seasoned ribeyes getting to room temp and a fine pour of bourbon. If he wanted to… etc etc

Imagine if I’d left town for TWO weeks.

Up early, run a 5k, phone immediately blows up regarding rogue canids, work for 5.5 hours, now we finally Saturday on the patio.

June Mondays

Good and sweet and cuddly and handsome, save the half open evil sleep eyes.

Wally back home for the first time in over two weeks. I was expecting every cuddle all night, but mostly I think he is aggrieved that I have not moved after his mostly successful couch coup attempt.

And lo, on the 11th day, she was befallen with illness. The beautifully angry sea at Downpatrick’s Head was simply too much for her to take leave of the the carriage. (aka My entire face is leaking and I couldn’t go haul up to the cliff, so I sent Brad off while I keep blowing my nose in the car.)

I was so worried about leaving Wally for 2 weeks, especially with a smaller dog to share attention with. Getting this message today made me super happy. 😊

Day 2.5 in Dublin. Tomorrow we head out for the clockwise tour of the island. Sláinte!

The only downside to my upcoming trip is leaving this guy for two weeks. 🥺
