Maggie follows a jittery Jack through the stables. He directs her to a stool next to Maternal Pride's stall.
JACK
Wait here a minute.
Billy wears Harry's tiny silks. They're tighter than a sausage skin. Billy pulls at the pant's crotch.
BILLY
I can't feel my balls.
The sound of Cajun Prince's skipping hooves on the ground fills the air. It's followed by a banshee's HOWL.
MAGGIE (O.S.)
What in the flyin' FOOK?
Jack and Billy rush to Maternal Pride's stall. Maggie, mouth agape, points at Cajun Prince.
JACK
You want the whole story or the Reader's Digest version?
MAGGIE
I'm after the version that tells me why Frankie Yale's plungin' a fortune on a nag that's got the twinkle-toes!
JACK
I know it looks bad --
MAGGIE
Bad don’t even touch the sides! This is a fookin' disaster!
Maggie stares at Billy in Harry's small silks.
MAGGIE
And what do we have here? A wee fairy gettin' in on the craic?
Maggie notices a pair of feet under a horse blanket.
MAGGIE
Should I even ask?
She lifts the blanket and sees the passed out jockey.

Ambroise’s attention is fixed on a faded red stone that is out of place with the gray stones in the floor. As Rourke brushes past the red stone, he exposes a slow-match munition fuse.
Ambroise struggles.
AMBROISE
Do these ropes have to be so tight?
Ambroise yells as Rourke pulls them tighter.
MATTY ROURKE
Yup.
Rourke hears the group returning. In Rahn’s hand is the codex.
DOUG MARKHAM
Nothing down there but a bunch of goddamned bones and that book.
Denninger takes the codex from Rahn and squats down in front of Ambroise.
DENNINGER
What is this, Father?
Ambroise eyes the fuse.
AMBROISE
My wrists are on fire.
(beat)
If you untie me, I will tell you everything.
Markham unties Ambroise.
The priest draws in a deep breath.
AMBROISE
What you hold in your hand is the Apocalypse of Judas Iscariot.
A shocked Denninger hands the codex to Ambroise. The priest declines.
AMBROISE
I know it by heart.
Rahn takes the codex as Denninger opens his notebook.

Glenn follows Neil into the room. SCREAMS echo from outside. Glenn spies PAUL MCCARTNEY (21) and JOHN LENNON (23) with their heads out of the window.

Cajun Prince grazes in the pasture. Billy strokes the horse's coat.
BILLY
All right, boy. Let's go.
As Billy starts to lead the horse to the trailer, Cajun Prince performs a bizarre, dance-like skipping trot.
JACK
(hisses)
Billy!
Billy turns. Jack's chin hangs down to his chest. Billy watches Cajun Prince skip across the grass like a flapper.
BILLY
That? He just started doing that a few months ago. Not sure why.
JACK
What the fuck, Billy?
BILLY
It's not a big deal. I figgered--
JACK
Not a big deal?! Look!
Cajun Prince prances like a Lipizzaner stallion.
JACK (O.S.)
We're fucked.
BILLY
No we're not. Watch.
Billy hums "Ain't She Sweet" to Cajun Prince. The horse immediately stops dancing.
BILLY
See? He calms right down whenever I sing or hum to him.
Billy hums and walks Cajun Prince across the ground. When Billy stops humming, the horse flits across the grass.
JACK
Jesus Christ. He's strutting around like a Times Square hooker.

INT./EXT. HUDSON NATIONAL BANK AND TRUST - DAY
White Italian marble counters reflect the morning sun. Customers line up at wickets underneath a cavernous ceiling. A fat SECURITY GUARD dozes on a wooden stool by the door.
Dressed in battleship gray overcoats and exuding misplaced overconfidence, SONNY CARTER (31, tough, fit), MORRIE COOPER (30, chubby, genial), African American AL MURPHY (32, tall, smart) and BERNIE MILLER (30, short, hyper), burst through the main doors.
Sonny strides toward the center floor mosaic.
SONNY
Hands up and nobody gets hurt.
AL
Show them we're not screwing around. Fire a shot into the ceiling.
Sonny grins. He raises his gun to the ceiling and pulls the trigger. A disappointing click. Sonny scowls at Morrie.
MORRIE
You said you didn't want anybody to get hurt so I didn't load 'em.
BERNIE
Want mine?
SONNY
You're supposed to be waitin' in the car!
MORRIE
Doesn't matter. His is empty too.
A SLIM BANK EMPLOYEE (30s) nudges Al.

EXT. WOODBINE RACETRACK - TORONTO - DAY
Under an unusually hot May sun, trainers work out the horses on a heavy track. SPECTATORS mill about on the grounds and in the grandstand.
JACK GILMOUR (24, tall), in a stylish cotton jacket, deftly rolls a silver dollar across his knuckles. His brother RUSS (26, strong), in a casual shirt and suspenders, slurps ice cream from a cup. EUGENE MARTINI (40s, chubby) waddles over.
He fans himself with his racing form.
EUGENE
My nuts are meltin' into my Oxfords.
Eugene side-eyes Russ.
EUGENE
Heard you guys were at Fusty's.
(beat)
How much ya lose?
Russ gives him a low, muted whistle. Eugene wipes his forehead and flings the sweat away.
EUGENE
Christ, everybody knows that little lunatic runs a fixed game.
(beat)
Except for you two, apparently.
Who ya got?
Jack holds up five fingers. Eugene scans his racing form.
EUGENE
"Hay Fever. Forty to one." The long shot? He finished out of the money in his last five races, Jack.
(beat)
I changed my mind. Fusty Fraser isn't the lunatic. You are.
Jack smirks. The "First Call" trumpet BLARES. He kisses the silver dollar for luck. At the bell, the gates fly open. Powerful thoroughbreds tear up the heavy track. Hay Fever immediately slips to the back of the pack.
EUGENE
Maybe he needs a push.
