And as long as I'm dropping vulture info with it even being IVAD, look at the convergence on these babies. While it's usual to say that New World* vultures are not closely related** to Old World* vultures, that Old World vultures are divided into 2 distinct lineages is less frequently addressed.
The other vulture species with sexual dimorphism (noticeable to humans) is the Andean condor. Somewhat similar eye color dynamic despite lack of close relationship*.
Was this an unplanned infodump? Perhaps. Should I say this without photographic support when I have photographing support? Absolutely not.
