Canada Day has always been a day where we just veg and watch movies. A highlight in university was wizard staffs and the LOTR extended edition. This year, it's the 5 hour version of Fanny and Alexander because nothing says Happy Canada Day like an evil step father ruining everything.

Reading through my new building's objections to a laneway home. It's just a bunch of elderly rich folks with PowerPoint presentations showing they won't be able to view their neighbour's backyard or roof anymore. Wasting over $50k in maintenance fees to block a single unit.

Took ownership this weekend! We were the only active bidders on this coop in Oriole Park. It's not easy to get: 30-35% downpayment, all the banks will ignore you, but there are really good Credit Unions and older real estate lawyers that are happy to make it work. (We represented ourselves).

A very warm day at the Toronto Zoo, but Imara and the kids were finding ways to keep cool. Less than 90 minute TTC or GO ride from downtown. Building great relationships with my friend's kids ♥️
