The words we use to talk about poverty are never neutral. At EAPN Europe's Thematic Meeting on Inclusive Language, we contrasted how poverty is often portrayed with how it should be. One message stood out: people experiencing poverty are still missing when communication about them is created.

Day 2 of #PEPMeeting was about turning participation into a collective action. Meaningful participation is not a one-off event; it is not a one-time seat at the table. Meaningful participation is a permanent place in the conversation. A role in decision-making. A voice that shapes what comes next.
