My preferred Dracula comic (including pajamas!)

If I wanted to take public transport to work, its over two hours. The bus comes to my work twice a day, which I would need to leave my home before 6 am and get back after 730 pm. The only childcare option I have goes from 7 am - 6 pm and I pay a premium. Public transportation has been gutted.

Today at @thestfnetwork.bsky.social Con, we played @hecticelectron.bsky.social's Raccoon Sky Pirates. Our intrepid band stole a child's easter candy basket, Joker chemicals, tool chest, drone, dill plant, sewing machine, fridge air compressor and THE MEATS. The Raccoons are COMING!

Tried out Unleashed by @critkituk.bsky.social today for @thestfnetwork.bsky.social's Con. Had an absolute blast, look at this ridiculous dog heist. A chihuahua and rottweiler successfully heisted a boat (unfortunately their last companion got put in the crate).

Following the tradition of Americans destroying tea, I've found the third/four steeps of a given tea bag work better if you microwave the tea bag with the water. Doing @gailsimone.bsky.social proud.

Hmm wonder where some of that money could come from instead of property taxes.

"As the City begins a historically challenging budget process for 2026, we hope this tool will be of use to Chicagoans, to City officials, and to the CPD itself," said Deborah Witzburg, Inspector General for the City of Chicago. "CPD is the City department which, by a gaping margin, occupies the largest percentage of the City's budget. In recent years, CPD's overtime spending alone has dwarfed the entire budgets of many other City departments. In 2024, for example, over 11,000 sworn CPD members worked some amount of overtime at a cost to taxpayers of more than $270 million."

Chicago taxpayers have spent at least $231.2 million to resolve lawsuits alleging Chicago police officers committed a wide range of misconduct — including wrongful convictions and improper pursuits — this year, according to an analysis of city data by WTTW News.

What is your favorite food from your home culture/country/ region that you love, but that folks don’t seem to know about or appreciate? Persimmon pudding/cheesecake. If you aren't picking up smooshed fruit from the ground (it's the ripest) you're doing it wrong.

Persimmon pudding on a white plate with a big dollop of whipped cream on top. The pudding is a baked brown, with thicker edges and a dense but soft center. Overall about an inch thick and cut into a 4"x4" piece.

There's some gorgeous art from Paizo of a snapdragon leshy (plant person) wielding a flail with the little snapdragon hulls. It's incredibly adorable.

Art credit to Paizo from Fistfuls of Flowers scenario developed for FreeRPGDay. A small humanoid covered in green leaves that drape like armor stands with legs apart, clutching a flail. The haft looks possibly wooden, with metal end caps, the top of which is connected to three metal chains. The chains end in a clean snapdragon hull which looks like a small skull with big round eyes and an oval, almost fish shaped mouth. The humanoid has a pink snapdragon colored and shaped head with eyes, angry green eyebrows, and a toothy mouth, and down her back are more pink snapdragon flowers that flow into a snapdragon tail that extends several feet past her and nearly to the ground. Around her torso she wears a plain metal breastplate.

I love scaring my players just by the use of specific tokens. Just a couple of statues hanging out 😆

It looks like a generic battlemap with 5 foot squares on dirt grass. Two statues that look like crying angels stand beside four player characters - a smiley uplifted raccoon thief, a human woman fighter with a sword, a laughing tanuki swashbuckler, and a devilish (with a gem encrusted tophat) kobold alchemist.
