You know the regime makes kids, each day before school line up & chant "Death to America! Death to Israel!" & walk over the flags in disrespect. It's so traumatising a brainwashing drive, position of perpetual antipathy, that some exiles embrace the flags as signs of not endorsement but resistance.
With you all the way but genuine question - Where will they go? I mean the ones who are not in this for personal gain, and have been swept up by it, aren't they your neighbours? The only way to be rid of an enemy is to make them your friend. Otherwise we only entrench their views, surely.
