OK. Up front, I completely agree with your conclusion. There is extremely limited additional utility in the "Large" versus "Medium" range configuration. Having said that, in many platforms, including yours, the larger pack does charge faster. The practical difference over a long day is small.
AC Discourse Attempt: In many heating dominant climates, AC energy usage is almost trivial vs. heat. Attached: last 4 years of heat pump energy usage for our fully electrified, 130 year old, insulation retrofitted Chicago home. (CC: @johnsmillie42.bsky.social who I believe has similar data) 1/n
Love this. Here is a photo of our Sarlacc's Pit, Alex, who is a Pit. (I cannot believe it never occurred to me to call him this in the 7 years he's lived with us. He makes this expression all the time.)
I've actually found CC to be quite useful but the similarity between angry Claude Code avatar and the No Take dog was too strong.
I share Ted's warm feelings. While I was not a student there, I got to participate in an NCSA high school outreach program involving computational chemistry in the early 90s. Still have this keepsake. It unquestionably helped inspire and guide my career and I'm grateful for it.
I think credit here needs to go to @asahilinux.org and the Macbook Pro M1. For several of these I spent 10-20 seconds scanning and looking at the display from different angles before a difference suddenly stood out.
I bet it's the same sign. What an interesting thing to show up in my feed. It's such a neat place. Thanks for sharing! (Here's a photo looking back at the sign and the park from the breakwater, which is now covered with rocks.)
A friend from @rprc.bsky.social posts their curling sessions to Strava, an app more commonly used to share runs, hikes, bikes and swims. I love it.
This immediately reminded me of "Self" by Marc Quinn, a life mask made out of the artist's own frozen blood. Anyone else see the resemblance? www.npg.org.uk/schools-hub/...
OK. Personal breaking point. This somehow, earnestly, both sides "the doubt of judges" and "open lying and defiance of court orders by the justice department" as co-contributors to the erosion of "healthy court function". Holy pitch-bot. www.nytimes.com/2025/08/04/u...
Costco in England (in 2006) - 1540 Tetley tea bags - Amusingly, unlike the US stores, this location outside of London would sell you a single jar of Skippy peanut butter instead of two shrink-wrapped together.
Here's Indianapolis to KC in a Cadillac Lyriq (slightly smaller than the EV in the video). Two 20 minute charge stops. abetterrouteplanner.com?plan_uuid=86...
Was unaware that the Nikkei has a lunch break. So, at least I'm learning new things.
If it helps, I can confirm one copy made it well inland and well above sea level here in Chicago.
