People acting like Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is crossing a weirdness line Trek has never crossed before have forgotten about Beverly Crusher's family fuck boi.

Dr. Crusher (nee Howard) from Star Trek: TNG stands with an anaphasic life form taking the appearance of the 800 year old ghost of a man who has been having an affair with ostensibly the first born women of the Howard women since c.1560. Crusher's red hair is styled
curly & she is wearing essentially glamour make up. The man has almost shoulder length hair & is wearing a dark outfit one would expect from 16th century Scotland & England. Instead of literally fucking with these women, he was fucking with their brain chemistry creating a de facto dependence on him. He used them as hosts like a parasite. One supposes the first of these women, Jessel Howard, was lonely? I guess. So he went the seducer route & sort of became the hereditary fuck boi.

My doggo Leia found a "friend" on our screen door this morning.

Bug of some sort on a door screen. Two legs at the top above the head. Head is a few different shades of brown with a large eyeball looking thing on either side. Body is a mix of shiny green and some brown. Wings are quite long and have some green where they attach to the body.

Happy 10th anniversary to that time the staff & customers of a Philly Wawa booed bigot Sean Hannity out of the store.

Text says: Scumbag Sean Hannity cuts in line at a Philly Wawa and demands a cheesesteak hoagie from an employee named Ashley whom he derogatorily calls Tanikqua. He's told to get in line behind all the other people who were at the deli counter first. And without a trace of irony says it's the people who expect him to wait in line who are the lawless people. He continues to insult people in a racist way and is booed out of the store.

Leia is helping me dog-sit her older but smaller cousin Sadie this weekend. They haven't seen each other since poor Sadie still had 2 eyes. It was a happy reunion tho, they recognized each other's smell. We are chilling in the AC now.

Any #electricians here or ppl knowledgeable about professional electricians work? My nephew is graduating high school in a few weeks & will immediately start his training as an electrician. I thought of getting him the Victorinox electrician alox tool. But is it actually a good little tool for him?

Leia is the exact same way.

She wants attention from her human who ks trying to work for a paycheck to get the dog more food, toys, and blankets.

One thing that means is that I can tell when a person is being unkind through faking niceness. When a person is acting in bad faith through faking civility. When a person uses certain rhetorical tactics to fake their level of knowledge of a situation.
Those disingenuous fools do not deserve nice & civil rhetoric in return.
But I'm also tired of telling those testerics to fuck off.
I should take the advice of other smart people (in this specific regard, mostly Black women) & just ignore them.
So. No matter how much a person weaponizes perceived politeness, I'm going to try to just ignore them.
Mentally pushing them out an airlock.

I'm technically not this old to have used one, but old enough that they were used during my life. My grandfather retired from DuPont when it switched from computers that used these to desktops. He was allowed to bring home reems of these & we use them for scrap paper & bookmarks, stil 40 yrs later.

I usually only have hot dogs at July 4 parties (when I went to them) or baseball games. But I had a craving & got some yesterday. I dropped one on the floor while preparing lunch and now my beagle girl thinks I should get hot dogs more often and be more clumbsy.

Bella is an almost 12-year-old puggle. She is indeed a badass bitch, as her bandana says. Her favorite activities are snoring next to you like a cozy potato & getting treats from her 3-year-old human brother. She could use a pick-me-up because her beloved canine brother Winston recently died.
