It's very problematic that the Leader of the Council, Cllr Paula Basnett, does not support the butterfly trail in New Ferry’s regeneration. The Labour Chair of the Regeneration Committee confirmed that the money saved by cheaper tarmac in New Ferry ➡️

From today, thousands of households in Wirral can start recycling food waste. ♻️ It was good to see some of the 75 bin wagons at Biffa’s depot in Bromborough Pool, where over 270 workers are based. These food recycling wagons run on low carbon hydrogenated vegetable oil, not high pollution diesel.

UK drug related deaths have risen for 14 consecutive years. We all want the same thing; safer streets, less crime and protecting vulnerable people. But, despite the hard work of the police, the current system is broken. We have the highest rate of drug related deaths in Europe. We can't go on like this.
