Truly ridiculous broken behavior that has been around for a while and I guess nobody on the Office team uses Word to write documents because they would've noticed it for sure. It's so jarring to have your document warp and shift around as you type.

"On their own hardware" on what hardware? Have you seen hardware prices lately? I periodically see people talking about democratizing AI or whatever and running it on local hardware and buddy, normal people don't have hardware with enough VRAM for good models

Hamilton's 100% on the money here, but also if you actually want to throw government money into democratizing AI the answer is American open-weights alternatives to Qwen and Deepseek and throwing money into letting people run near-frontier-class LLMs on their own hardware, not going all in on cloud

Limbus Company is such a masterwork and also a total complete design nightmare at the same time. This stupid butterfly is my worst enemy. Yes, I love to spend 20 turns slogging through a fight only to get ambushed by a hidden ability that will brick your run unless you already knew about it

Posts like this remind me that everyone has different reasons for using social media I don't doubt that on mastodon people are more willing to repost stuff to their followers, and it's true that hitting like on a bsky post realistically doesn't do anything. But is visibility intrinsically good?

the boosts-to-likes ratio is so fucking much higher on mastodon than on bluesky

people here click like and scroll past (doesnt give you more engagement)

people on mastodon will boost (show your post to their followers, increasing engagement) and very often also comment (make you feel good)

Late to the party on playing it but it's surprising how poorly Citizen Sleeper 1 explains how to play itself, despite how many detailed tutorial screens it has. I've gotten confusing outcomes 4 times and already deleted a save twice Like this, which stumped me for a bit and means 'click everything'

Never write your own compiler or interpreter, but having a domain specific language for game scripting is so empowering. Can spin up brand new mechanics or gimmicks in < 5 minutes and know everything (dependencies, compile-time error checking, text localization) will Just Work
