So sometimes when I see particularly haunted stuff on Thrift Store websites, I bid the minimum just to see. Can I really purchase the horrors for as little as $4.99? This week, the answer is yes.

I posted too soon! This little train was in pieces in the box, and now that I have successfully reassembled it I've decided they are going on an adventure together. I don't know where they're going, but they're going in style.

And here's a 2x2, proof of concept. The one you see in the video is missing its back stabilizer ring so it almost twists apart, but I've now stabilized it and these little guys are sturdy as hell especially if you only let them hang from the top.

My first attempt at attaching two baby mails together, and I kind of make it look like they're holding hands inside another ring. I pretty quickly figured out this was not stable enough, and needed Rings attaching their feet together as well, as well as stabilizers front and back.

I had a 4 foot tall box delivered to me today. I thought it was some rolls of wallpaper that I'd also ordered recently, so I didn't take a picture of the box before I basically tore it apart (it's been raining lately, so everything was damp). And I pulled out.. this.

This was the picture I saw! I thought the blade was either well-polished wood, or had a cool paint job. The $17 for shipping and handling didn't even make me blink. Lots of these folks use FedEx. $15 to ship a 12" square box with good padding seemed super reasonable to me.

I've been doing a lot of shopping on shopgoodwill.com lately. Zero regrets about that, btw. I've gotten some great stuff! But I saw this listing, I've been looking for miniature swords for a wall display. I thought it said "Wood and Brass Decorative sword, 8 in." It... did not.

Soutache in Chicago is a marvelous little button and Trim Store that I got to visit today. Everything's a little pricey but in that way where you can trust it's actually linen or silk or metal or wood, and well made. Not pictured, their whole wall of ribbons and sparkly trim, and silk flowers.

This may be the final version of my tooth, fang, and skull necklace. Seven different thrifted necklaces were cannibalized for this, plus the molars and big fangs made out of translucent polymer and the small fangs made out of glow in the dark polymer clay. The center pendant is both kinds of clay.
