As part of improving access to and in Brancumhall Park / St Leonards Primary you told me that you wanted the hedges cut back off the path at St Leonards Road and storm damaged trees and foliage cut back from the lighting. The first ask is done, the second, planned.

Stoneymeadow Road: lots of fast food litter, cans and a small amount of fly tipping. Council will litter pick this in the next few months, however normally it’s only undertaken annually.

Lee’s Burn Court: privately owned, various fast food outlets, lots of litter on nearby roads but the sites were very clean. Signage to remind people to dispose of their waste responsibly would be helpful, reminders by staff and on packaging would be great.

Whin Place: lots of general litter, not much fly tipping. The first section of the road is adopted, however the rest of the road is not. Council will litter pick the pavement side as required and investigate any appropriate locations for signage.

East Kilbride Community Litter Pickers asked me to investigate litter and fly tipping in Nerston Industrial Estate and Stoneymeadow Road in my ward. I had a cycle about, took photos and contacted the council to get their advice on what could be done.

I enjoyed meeting loads of folk at the Calderglen High School P7 transition night last night. Exciting times for our wonderful young people going to high school in August.

It's #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek this week. Good reminders here of ways to look after yourself and others. There are so many organisations in our town who exist to support you and build stronger communities. Be kind to yourself and others is a good summary, I feel.
