Post title: George Lucas taught me one thing; world building will ultimately connect with people more than script writing

Star Wars is a unique franchise in that it has some of the greatest world building (btw this isn't all down to to him, external factors are included in this - including music - in which the prequels are involved).

I just watched the prequels for the first time since I was a child.
I was surprised by how much I enjoyed them.

The script is abhorrent, I don't even blame the actors for anything that came across on screen.

But, I genuinely think with a skilled dialogue writer it could've been totally made to pass: every beat I. The story included.

It a shame, I will not deny how bad the dialogue is, but I enjoyed every moment.

These could've been incredible movies with a bit of delegation from George...

And that's all down to the world building.

I compare it to the matrix, and it came out in the same era.

The imagination from the creator was unbelievable, but it's one of the few cases where the studio could've stepped in and constraints on one aspect (dialogue in this case) would've elevated the end product exponentially.
