West Seattle Summer Fest is my favorite weekend every year. Imagine if California Ave SW were pedestrianized like this all the time! #WestSeattle #SummerFest #Pedestrianization
I can’t imagine the mix of emotions he’s feeling today. #LFC #YNWA #Forever20
San Diego for a long weekend has been amazing. Lovely people, good music everywhere, and great food. Plus, we spent two whole days in the @sandiegozoo.bsky.social and Safari Park!
Near perfect trifecta of fun on Puget Sound. I couldn’t fit the sea kayakers in the photo with everything else. There are so many ways to enjoy the water. #PNW
Happy Father’s Day! It’s hard to beat a summer morning with the family on Alki.
Homemade Mexican food (with a twist) makes me happy. Chile verde pork, green lentils cooked in the leftover pork juices, and wild rice provide great leftovers ahead of a busy week.
My 10 year old loved the film but definitely didn’t get as excited about these two as I did.
I decided to reward myself at the end of the ride with brunch and some record shopping at Easy Street. It was a good day.
What a beautiful day to be out cycling in West Seattle. If only safe cycling infrastructure were safe from the city.
Backpack upgrades incoming courtesy of my favorite Etsy store of all time. The patches I have from IfsAndOrButtons get daily comments and compliments at work. www.etsy.com/shop/IfAndsO...
What a trooper my daughter’s been today. This doesn’t even count walking to/from the bus at either end of our adventure.
@westseaurbanism.bsky.social friends Please keep an eye out for a little black and white kitty, Morticia, who got spooked by workers at our house today and snuck out. She was last seen between SW Genesee and SW Oregon in the alley between 47th Ave SW and 48th Ave SW around 5:30 this evening.
This is a cat check point. Relinquish your most recent cat picture on your phone
We have a new family member this weekend. Welcome to West Seattle, Morticia!
It’s a small thing, only a couple miles at a time, but picking up my daughter from school and riding to activities on our ebike instead of driving has been life changing. The world is significantly more fun on a bike.
I think the Bay Area will always feel like my true home, but on days like today it’s pretty easy to love (West) Seattle. Walk by Easy Street Records and the RSD line to breakfast at Great American Diner, pick up an order for the school library from Pegasus Books, get a little gardening done…
What an incredible day at @woodlandparkzoo.bsky.social today! The animals were out and active in a way they rarely are. Please be aware of mischievous birds attempting to escape though when passing through the aviary doors.
