Yesterday we repped Operation Overpass, @democracyoutloud.bsky.social, Engaged Defenders for Democracy, on the American Tobacco Trail (ATT) bridge over I40 for DDay. Friend Beth with me. Person taking our photo noted the wind began blowing when taking the pic. I noted that just happens around me.
Yesterday Hungary brought back the EU flag into the Parliament and sang the Ode to Joy, the EU anthem for the first time in well over a decade. Each time I watch this I cry more...

Finally some truly beyond good news. The Tarkine of Tasmania. Bob Brown has just announced that Chinese co MMG will withdra their application to dump mine tailings and move it. The Tas/AU govts have a horrible record on extraction practices...This is absolutely beyond wonderful news from Bob Brown.
Minus a couple much colder outdoor jaunts since the 'ice storm' Petey spent maybe 45 minutes completing 1.75 laps around the backyard. He is very copacetic tonight.
Junior isn't allowed outside very often, but he is equally adorable inside too.

Yesterday morning this miracle appeared over central Durham. The photos are taken at 3 schools and 2 Home Depots. Because that was where people were protecting other people. Fortunately no further things occurred. And the community resistance showed strong and true. @siembranc.bsky.social
