This is the VC10 fuel tanker. It arrived one busy afternoon at RAF Kinloss. I was asked to go and talk to the ships pilot out on the pans. He gave me his business card and asked me to fly with him the next day on a Nimrod/VC10 test flight. I was stood down the next day. Never got there.
Great to be able to come to RAF Cosford once again for the air show. I was a trainee RAF photographer here back in the 1980's. At that time the training course was 6 months long. I did it in 3 months.
Furnace in the tile museum. This is much bigger than anything that Hornsea Potteries had.
Beautiful day for a trip to the Ironbridge Gorge Museum. Haven't been here since before the pandemic. Part of my training as a photographer in Sheffield was to photograph the museum.

Sonny Rollins '74 - Rescued Arena on BBC4 just now. I was sitting in the audience at Ronnie Scott's when Sonny and Rufus Harley broke out in a duo with saxophone and bagpipes. It was incredible. Never seen anything like it since. I was able to talk to Sonny in the States a few times. Rest in peace

Tour de Romandie today. Which is a preamble to the Tour de France. Pogacar winning stage 5. I've done all the stages of this on an MTB. Took me days on every stage to finish it. Hard work cycling round Alpine hills 🙂

When I arrived on Epstein's island the whole Epstein circus was somewhere else. @vicderbyshire.bsky.social I was greeted by an FBI team leader. They wanted to prosecute Epstein. She was working as a member of staff. Couldn't really get much closer than that.
