We attended #2026SDB in Vegas and 7 students from our lab presented their work to the #DevBio community. We represented @ucdavis.bsky.social and @ucdavisvetmed.bsky.social with 6 SDB first-timers: 4 BMCDB PhD candidates, 1 GGIP DVM/PhD candidate, and 2 recently graduated undergrads. I am so proud! 🤩
Huge thank you to the organizers of the #2026SDB meeting! It was a fantastic conference. I really enjoyed all of the wide-ranging scientific topics, excellent talks, and I think you all know how I feel about the venue. Safe travels to all and hope to see you next year. ❤️🙏🏽 😍@socdevbio.bsky.social

Things that make me smile! I wanted to share this adorable gift my husband commissioned a few years ago because the artist did an amazing job at capturing Roxie’s adorable ears and toofs. She’s just the cutest and sweetest little pup. A little grayer around the face but still a frisky pup.
Lab picture day! I’m so proud of all of the amazing students in my lab. We have 6 graduating seniors, several returning undergrads, many summer students, and 7 amazing grad students who are all doing such cool science. Even with the hardships of academia- I love this job and our little community!
