My semi regular post about how great Battle for Rokugan is. Had a brilliant game of it over the weekend, with a lot of bluffing and misdirection.

Hey #portfolioday Here’s some characters I created for our playing card dungeon crawler, 52 Realms: Adventures.
We also had a Postmark Games booth! This is the first time we’ve taken a stand at an event, and I wasn’t sure how it would go. PNPs and cons are a bit of an odd pairing, but a combo of great booth mates (shoutout to Joey Games), and a bunch of open minded folks, made it a worthwhile experience (5/5)
A special moment for me came on the Saturday when I ran a 17 player game of Voyages. I was pleased to see that five years on the game still has appeal. Without the relative success of that game, I doubt I would have been there at all (4/5)

Looking through an old sketchbook and I came across these first scribbles for Waypoints. Surprisingly close to how it ended up!
Another fun thing from expo was getting my artist copy of Spaghettin. Nice seeing all of these together.
My plan of getting a fully painted Song army to the table hasn’t quite materialised, but we’re getting close.

Trying to find a way of painting the A Song of Ice and Miniatures minis that’s quick but still looks good. Not sure this does either but I’m pleased to be chipping away at them. Need to base these chaps before calling it done.
A very ugly prototype but potentially enough here to make it a little prettier and write some rules.
Saw a small blue butterfly today and took a photo so I could google what it was when I got home. Turns out it’s a small blue butterfly (that’s the name of the species). Lovely stuff.
I think pottery has the potential to be my Roman Empire. Loved getting on the wheel again today.
It’s been a while since I played the A Song of Ice and Fire Tabletop Miniatures game so it was nice to get it back on the table. I really like this one. Lots of cool stuff going on and the rules are relatively frictionless.
Always a good day when you get some @weheart.games in the post. Looking forward to playing this one.
I love that Operation Barclay comes with an actual printed design diary in the box. Such a nice way to learn more about the game. Great work from @writegameread.bsky.social @saltandpeppergames.bsky.social and Meeple Foundry.
Enjoying the Winter Olympics, so picked up one of those newfangled video games.

I haven’t painted in ages but it was nice to finish off these Witcher Old World minis last week.
Had a great time at HandyCon over the weekend. Played a bunch of stuff, including two games of Battle for Rokugan which has secured its spot as my all time favourite.
