I think it's fair to question things. The fact that they ask for money before you can even check out their process seems like some indication of just how broken our political process is, in general.

Yep. Collins was never over 50% in 2020 either, and these results actually look better for her than last time.
Every Facebook thread about Platner is just some version of this. These people probably agree on 95% of public policy. I don't know what the answer is, but it's clear social media is a major net negative for the knitting of social ties and the Platner campaign is a case study of the problem.
You should run for the Maine House, folks. How else will you find such varied and interesting taxidermy?
I don't know who you're arguing with, but it's fairly easy to look up what the temperature was in any location on any day going back a loooong time. Here's Farmington the month after I was born. Seems like AC would have been appreciated!

Sorta bummed for Jordan Wood. No one worked longer and harder than he did, but he just couldn't find a way to resonate. Interesting to see his #2s swing so hard for Dunlap. I thought Baldacci had it, but have to think his combativeness with the other candidates hurt him in the RCV race.
And this is why you build coalitions in RCV! Well done by Troy/Shenna/Hannah in working together to make sure one of them came in first. Also, a crack in the Platner-as-kingmaker argument, as Janet's #1 did come out on top!

Here's the Shenna piece as three jpegs. I think it holds up pretty good! The Gaza discussion is pretty interesting, especially. I'm much less angry than I was then, and I think I'm a more careful writer, but it's nice to be able to dig something up from 12 years ago and not have to wince too much.
Went back and found the 2014 piece I wrote on @shennabellows.bsky.social running against Collins. Just 12 years ago, but feels like a different universe. It was still mostly the case back then that campaigns didn't really get started until Labor Day.
