Norwegian kransekake decorated with flags. It's a series of cake rings stacked on top of each other in a steep conal shape, glued together with frosting. Broken bottom rings litter the base of the kransekake, ready to be consumed by old people.

Got invited to a party on the 17th for the Norwegian national day, and it's my job to bring dessert. I asked if I should bring ice cream and my friend told me it's "a bit plebian". What the FUCK? Krone-is is part of our national identity man! You can't have syttende mai without krone-is!

Vanilla ice cream in a waffle cone, the ice cream has solid chocolate on the top, and tiny bits of nuts or crumble or something. It's the norwegian "krone-is" ice cream.

You could always get into tabletop roleplaying games instead. It's not related at all, it's just a fun hobby.

A couple of years back I ran OSE for dad's side of my family one time, and my dad named his character "Boatnerd" and everyone laughed at him. He said jokes on them, his character knew what hydrofoil was, and they didn't. It didn't really come up ingame though.

A ferry or something floating with the hull above the water, with weird stilts going into the water keeping it aloft due to speed. My dad says that's hydrofoil, but I don't know how it works man.

Finished A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. The book with the short stories in it that is, I haven't seen the show. Great timing, I know. Good-ass book, go read it. Or watch the show I guess. The illustrations by Gary Gianni are excellent.

Worlds Without Number specifically calls it out. Good-ass book, everyone should give at least the GM section a read. It's free on DrivethruRPG.

Find out what they want to do next session. At the end of every session, ask them what they want to do next. This is absolutely crucial for saving yourself time and wasted effort and ensuring that the entire group is on the same page about the next session’s general plan. They might choose to bite on a hook you’ve thrown out to them or come up with their own idea, but you need to know what kind of content to make for the next session.
In a sandbox campaign, you only ever need to be one session ahead of the players. You don’t need to plot out vast narratives or design lands the PCs might someday reach; all you need to know is what they want to do next time, and then make your preparations accordingly.
Remember, if you don’t need it for the next session, and you’re not having fun making it, stop working on it.

@disturbedarty.bsky.social Hi, I'm very sorry to bother you, but is there any chance you could change something in the ttrpg feed? It pulls in any instance of "dnd", even in the middle of words, which means it pulls in a lot of youtube links not related to TTRPGs, clogging up the feed a lot.
