Why are their heads always on the floor?

I know I’ve said this before but I love my boy.

Daz the greyhound stretched out sleeping. Half on his bed and half off with his head sort of on on his duvet that he moved off his bed before settling down. No idea how this is comfortable but he spends a lot of time each night to set things up this way so it must be.

Very hot but very good day. Love graduations.

Today’s walk was blissful. Daz was so excited to be out after such a hot period and having ripped a claw out of his paw last week. He wasn’t able to walk for two days and it was horrible to see him in pain. Being out was wonderful for all of us.

Today’s University of Birmingham open day was very hard in the heat for staff, student ambassadors and visitors. The campus looked stunning though and I always love speaking to potential applicants and their families.

Been gearing up to mark an assessment after today’s deadline. Had an email earlier to say that there had been a security issues with Canvas but all should be fine. Looking at the trending topics, don’t think tonight’s maintenance is ‘scheduled’.

Tinned fish!! We are addicts and buy locally produced tins when we’re on holiday. Also visit The Tinned Fish Market when in London. Photo of my 2021 Christmas present below. My husband knows me so well (and enjoyed them too obviously). This alone would make me want to go to Kallos. That and bread.

Today was a good day to think of the beauty in the world.

After a nightmare journey trying to get to work, I had to change location plans to make a 9:30 online workshop I was running. Ended up at the Exchange where this is on display.

It’s lovely having a sleeping dog snoring next to you when working from home. Not so good when their head is resting on your chair and you need to move it to get some lunch.

This is lovely.

Someone pretending to be an AI chatbot responded to my prompt asking it to draw a cat smiling. They drew me a lovely childlike drawing of a a cat with two pointy ears, dots for eyes, three long whiskers to the left and two to the right and a big single line smile. I love it.
