WTAF is this? Why is US insurance like this? Email received today. They are writing in the past tense about me "cancelling" a plan in the future. Literally all 2025 plans expire on 12/31. So no, I have not cancelled my insurance. Just the tip of the me-hating-these-fucking-people iceberg.

Email from insurance company saying the following:

Dear XXXXXX,

Your coverage was terminated on 12/31/2025 due to member request.

If you have terminated your current policy to replace it due to a Special Enrollment Period required change you will receive your new policy details in the next two weeks.

There is nothing else you need to do at this time.

Our Next Steps:
Review your account
Mail you a refund check if due
Send you your new policy details if applicable
If you need additional help please let us know.
