Haven't posted any of my art for a while. So here's a recent piece called Harvesttime View from The Hunt Hut, @oxney.bsky.social Vineyard, based on a photo I took during a stay there in October 2024.

A dark cloudy sky with some sunshine breaking through, some trees in the distance, then field of pinot noir vines with a few black grapes dangling below. In the foreground is wooden fencing separating the field from the ground surrounding a shepherds hut (not in picture).

Those look like they will be delicious! My pinot noir vine (Pierre) has lots of lovely berries forming but veraison not yet started - that's when they gradually become black grapes!

Lots of solid green 'grapes' in a cluster on a vine. Definitely do not try eating at this stage!

I miss you and Conn (& Prudence) so much, you were the loveliest neighbours ever! I can't believe it's a year since you went back to Canada. The big fan you kindly left me has been an absolute lifesaver in our recent heatwaves, and the art continues to take over the lounge. Sending big hugs!

Just back from the workshop with Liz. This is about one third of the huge communal charcoal piece we all produced. What a fantastic evening!

Just finished a watercolour of Beachy Head Lighthouse. I hope you like it, as I'm very pleased with how it's turned out. This is my third Lighthouse painting, and I really like their varied shapes and surrounding scenery, so I will probably do more in the future!

A tall lighthouse based on a mossy, stained rock (with stairs from the sea for incoming boats). The top/lantern room is red surround with diamond latticed glazing, the next band down is white, the next band red, and the final band is white with a red door. There are several tiny windows in the upper half of the tower.

Here's my watercolour of sunset over Reculver Fort near Herne Bay, which I did a few months ago. I always love the colours of a sunset or sunrise!

Genuine photo I took in Kyoto in Dec 2011 with no filters or image tinkering! Autumn was late that year, so the visit to the temple was a riot of colour! It was a work trip but I'm so glad I had some time to do a bit of sightseeing, Japan is such an amazing country ❤️

The view from the Airbnb my friends and I stayed at in rural Kent in September. There was a large orchard, lots of beautiful trees, and even an albino squirrel we spied a couple of times!

One of my favourite buildings is York Minster, captured here on a glorious May day during a break there this year. The stained glass windows are incredible, especially the rose window, plus the stonework is so beautifully crafted and maintained by their own team of stonemasons.

This photo is from my stay last autumn at Oxney vineyard in East Sussex, and is the view from the Shepherds Hut I stayed in. The vines in this field were Pinot Noir and the foliage was a feast of shades of green!

Here is my acrylic painting of the old lighthouse at Dungeness which I did earlier this year. It's a metre tall and took me quite a long time, but it's probably my favourite piece. I only started painting less than 2 years ago, but this was when I felt I was developing my own style.

Sorry I'm a day late, but here's a wizened old tree growing up the wall of the Fordwich Arms near Canterbury. I have no idea what it is but it's apparently still alive! I love sitting on this terrace in summer as it overlooks the River Stour too.

This is the River Stour which flows through Westgate Gardens in Canterbury, on it's way to the estuary near Sandwich. The gardens are always well tended by the council, and you can even go on a punt tour from here in the summer months!

The Christmas market in Canterbury Cathedral Precincts this year. Gets busy but it's absolutely lovely. Nice warm apple moonshine by Canterbury Brewers and Distillers too!

My watercolour of a path through Artist's Valley overlooking the Dyfi valley in West Wales, based on a photo by my friend Mary who lives near there.

A rocky path between two stone walls with a grassy verge, towards the end of the lane are several trees with boughs curving over the path like a leafy arch. There are hills and more trees in the distance.

St Mary's harbour on Scilly, a hazy summer day on my holiday there in August. The larger red boat is Seahorse, operated by the St Mary's Boatman Association to the other inhabited islands. The island you can see is Bryher.

Here's my acrylic painting of the beach huts at Hampton near Herne Bay in a pop art style. I love bright colours and it takes pride of place on my living room wall!

I enjoyed doing my watercolour of Cow and Calf Rocks on Ilkley Moor this week. I hope you like it too!

Large limestone crag with a larger rock at the right end (the cow) and a smaller rock to the right of that on the ground (the calf). There is a blue sky with a few clouds, and in front of the rocks is green rugged moorland with a small boulder in the foreground.
