I also have a Binx! He isn't great at fetch, but he's an absolute ninja at getting into rooms he's meant to be not in.

It's occurred to me I don't have many photos that shows Pendle being helpful... I can't even say he tries. In fairness, despite being adult sized, he's only 6 months old.

For the sake of both sidesing this, arguably the least successful photos from @chesterzoo.bsky.social yesterday. Chimp behind a bush, lemurs the wrong side of the bridge, sloth hiding on the ceiling and bees camouflaged against a tree/their hive. Further information in the alt text.

A chimpanzee hides behind a shrub on the edge of a large pond. These chimps knew very well people wanted to see them and take photographs, so they went out of their way to make our lives difficult. Nobody can convince me chimps aren't smart.

A group of ring-tailed lemurs hide by a bridge, only visible between the wooden bars. Honestly, fair play to them, they don't need human nonsense in their huddle.

A sloth. He was hanging from a rope above my head for a couple of minutes before I saw someone else looking at him, and suddenly he became obvious. For my Australian friends, I am extremely grateful he wasn't a drop bear. Especially as under him was an aquarium containing pirhanas. We don't need a new Sharknado spinoff.

A beehive strapped to a tree trunk. I promise there are dozens of bees in this photo, but the bees were small (as most are, I suppose) and far away so they might as well not have been there.
