Almost lost my mind when I stumbled upon this last night. It's like it was custom made for my Dad, sister, and me with our combined professional experience and love of thrillers. (Plus I've been trying to find stuff with late 90s tech to watch.) Can't wait to watch together this weekend.

I probably shouldn't have spent all this time making a moodboard considering how little I've written. 😅 I am trying to get myself into a 1999 state of mind though. The AOL keyword for this fic is "incongruity" #Reylo #ReyloSSS

moodboard for a reylo fic called SugarCrash99. it's made to look like a computer desktop from the 90s. it has images of Rey and Ben and icons that say "startup pitches", "World Wide Web", "history", "dial-up drama", "secrets", "lies", "arrangement", "mystery", and "converting enemies to lovers..."

It sounded just as easy, taking money and gifts from disgustingly rich men. She knows women who live rent-free thanks to their sugar daddies. She has no problem attracting interested men and no qualms about fucking a gross guy to pay down her student debts and get out of the shoebox she lives in. She is her mother’s daughter after all.

What she thought she could handle, what she somehow underestimated, was their egos and how much stroking they expected. It was more than laughing at bad jokes and telling them they're hot and sooooo big.

Snoke was droning on about the need to cut more costs in the next quarter as usual when Kylo, nodding absent-mindedly, noticed the cocktail waitress with the legs. He's seen her before, not as a waitress but as a guest at different events. Rey. He’s terrible with names, but he remembers hers. She was always hanging off the arm of some unbearable twat he had to schmooze with, but never the same one twice.

Maybe that has to do with the fire in her eyes she always seemed to be holding back. She flashes a big toothy smile at a leering guest who had just said something to her and gives what she probably thinks was a convincingly flirty giggle, placing a hand on his shoulder before moving on. The man seems unbothered by her artificiality, staring wistfully at her ass as she walks away.

Maybe "aspiring sugar baby" would be more accurate seeing as she's never survived an initial trial period. She’s still working at a club just to scrape by.
Currently, she's grabbing a bottle of liquor off of one of the higher shelves. One of the other girls called out tonight, so she got bumped up to the VIP lounge. She doesn’t know why they don’t make her permanent here. She’s good at this kind of thing. Her smile could drain the wallet of any of these trust fund babies or garish new money moguls for a night.
