I recently learned that all the characters have had designs updates over time, which generally are fun to look up and compare. But then, on top of the issue you point out, come to find out Maru’s features have gotten more and more white, and learning that really pissed me off.

The evolution of in-game character portraits for the Stardew Valley character Maru, a canonically biracial Black woman. Her early designs have wavy and/or curly hair and brown eyes, with her latest design having straight hair and blue eyes.

Twas a good mail day, this Godzilla Day! A success story of how I finally adapted to the bullshit preorder necessity for obtaining any new steelbook I’m ever interested in.

The author of this post holds up his newly acquired 4K blu-ray edition of Shin Godzilla in a collector’s steelbook case.

A shot of the steelbook case opened up to reveal the full artwork that spans the front cover, the spine, and the back cover. On the front cover, Godzilla stands amidst a pitch black Tokyo, in 3/4 view with his spiked back to the camera, head turned to the left, mouth wide open and spewing out an atomic laser that illuminates the image in a purple glow..
