As it happens, she’s the one who has it wrong. Rooftop solar works well for domestic, but for public buildings, industry, offices, etc. it’s usually a rounding error. This level of ignorance should disqualify her from holding office, and in particular, from speaking about energy.

I just did a quick PVSOL project to prove my point. Two full size real panels from a good manufacturer (total 0.9 kWp), with Enphase microinverters (as good as it gets) on a south-west facing wall on a random house in the lovely city of Coventry, with no shading at all, will bring in 685 kWh/year.
