Four years today since Spooky joined our household. I sometimes wonder if we've adopted a hobbit rather than a cat - nervous of both change and strangers, very food focused, tiny furry feet - but either way, he's a source of joy & occasional bewilderment. Keep up the good work buddy.
This weekend's main reading, The Girl with a Thousand Faces by Sunyi Dean. Strong story, interesting structure, cool use of its historical setting. Puts its characters through a special sort of torment, which get me gripped.
Book post. Very much looking forward to these - Andor Analysed 1 had some great essays, & Red Futures' work sits right in the sweet spot of my interests.
Book Quote Wednesday's word is 'change', and after crash landing on a quarantined planet Clifford's whole life is being transformed... #BookQW andrewknighton.com/all-that-is-...

This might be the most on-brand thing I ever produce - WW2 commandos vs Nazi occultists & an ancient dragon. Out now in the few remaining places that can handle this level of excitement. Buy it now, before the dragon awakes & burns down your local TG Jones. andrewknighton.com/out-now-comm...

What's this unexpectedly sprouting in the herb bed? Looks like the new issue of Fission, featuring my scifi fairytale Thirty Percent Pig, in which a guy with bought organs tries to grow his own home while being stalked by a lupine debt collector. www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1068721634
** It's larp o'clock! Time to be this guy for the weekend - rant in the street, strike deals around campfires, & attend midnight cult meetings. Game on!

Haven't done a "buy my books" post in a while, so hey, if you'd like a slice of action-packed scifi that's also about soil science & building community in the face of disaster (can't think why that one's relevant now...), here's my novella All That Is In The Earth- andrewknighton.com/all-that-is-...
Finished The Last Jager by @naomi72.bsky.social last night, a cracking little scifi western in the classic mode of a single gunslinger protecting local homesteaders against the rich big bad. One for folks who like both Pale Rider & The Expanse.
Bought myself a tiny folding keyboard, so that I can (theoretically) write on my phone at times when I'm not carrying a laptop around. Now we'll see whether the limitation was the workman or his tools.
Spidermug, Spidermug, Does whatever a spider does. Going larping on the train Turns out to be a huge pain. Look out, here comes Spidermug (and he's knackered already)!
Today's not all bad - I got book post! Well done past me for ordering something nice. Now to get started on the story in a subgenre I particularly wanted this for...
I have another Commando comic out. This time, Polish resistance fighters take on the occupiers. Will the allies they're counting on prove reliable? Let's just say that this one feels a little too timely. andrewknighton.com/out-now-phoe...
