Anyone know what species this solitary wasp is? Obsidentify came up with the genus Ectemnius which seems a good fit but which species. It was found in a friend’s garden in Cromarty, Highland, Scotland. Thanks #wasp #solitarywasp

Quite a few seabirds washed up here in the inner Moray Firth. A mix of razorbills, guillemots, shags, cormorants and a single red-breasted merganser but no puffins. All recorded on @birdtrack.bsky.social
