Oh! I should say that this image used a lot lately - of Zuckerberg wearing Meta glasses - is a bit deceptive, since they're the next-gen Orion version. Not yet commercially available afaik. They're much larger than the RayBans-branded versions currently on sale.

Not a dumb question at all, tbh. The current ones are still pretty chunky - like, recognizably more so than most plastic frames, but you notice it more in the thicker arms (where the batteries/electronics are) IMO. They have two little lenses, one at each corner.

Actually Smashwords is fine with erotica, but D2D can be heavy-handed with how it's classified for other retailers. I tried to add a D2D title to Bookshop and got an email saying universally no erotica.

I love that you didn't mince words 🤣 I also loved this part from R.K. Russell, because - though I'm no athlete, I was once a terrified gay guy in the closet - it touches on why I felt so much more connected to Scott/Kip's story. It felt more real(istic) (to me).

Russell: “A lot of conversations that I’m having personally with queer athletes, both out and not out, is the the Scott Hunter and Kip story. It’s very close home for a lot of athletes. For most of us, we were athletes in the closet, having to date other people and explain our situation. Not wanting them to come into the closet, but to know that to interact with us is to be your half-self at times, especially publicly. That’s one example where the social conversation and the actual lived experience frayed at times, because a lot of people didn’t see the purpose of Episode 3 until they got to Episode 5. But for me, Episode 3 is really what made me lean in more to the show, because I saw myself in a lot of ways.”

So, DRM-free ebooks on bookshop.org *do* have a "DRM-free" badge, but ebooks with DRM don't mention it on their listings. Which is a little less user-friendly than I wish it was, but I guess now I know what to look for before I buy 🤷‍♂️
