Finally, I'm engaged to a wonderful man who would NEVER treat me this way, and he's gotten this far because he treats me like a human being. He's having a good laugh over all of this, by the way.

The fact that I have to explain this to a grown-ass man isn't surprising, but it's sure as hell disappointing.
