Also, gun manufacturer Smith & Wesson can fuck themselves in several different ways, but one specific way is that they're suing FWFC over a trademark infringement because they think the logos are too similar. That's bullshit, Smith & Wesson. Eat a bag of dicks.
I don’t care that much about soccer but BY GOD I will buy a hat from a sports franchise from my hometown. Especially when it looks as good as this from the @fortwaynefc.bsky.social. TWO hats, even.
Sitting in a poolside cabana with my nieces at a hotel resort in Orlando, with a spicy marg and jimmy buffet playing It doesn’t get much more Florida than this
Maybe I’ve never noticed it before, but my little neighborhood market has started selling large, grape-sized blueberries and I am here for them.
I'm in Anmore BC (just outside of Vancouver) and tucked away behind the community center, there is a _beautiful_ old Intertype machine (a Linotype competitor) just... sitting there. Belonged to a prominent BC journalist. Be a shame if anyone were to just... take it
Apparently the costumers for the original "Alien" movie kitbashed two of these watches and a red bezel into a very high-tech looking wrist computer! I'm embarassed to say I've never noticed this before.
I've been getting into wristwatches lately — more specifically, obsessed with Casio digital watches. Especially excited for this one: the A100, a remake of their 1978 F100, the first-ever resin watch. Weirdly though, this one is metal. I love, love the Darth Vader-style buttons on the face, though!
Happy Canada Day to my friends and family to the north, from my Florida-born neice who has no idea what Canada Day is, and thought this Messenger filter was about "beautiful fall music" because of the falling leaves!
Reader, I found someone to help me do some Neo mods! Very happy with the results.
@gruber.foo @aresluna.org Potential Meta-slop language fodder for your respective blogs! In Meta’s last layoff, UX writers seemed to be disproportionately affected. And suddenly this steaming hot mess of a message showed up on their apps today:
Ain’t no wedding like an Andy Welfle wedding because an Andy Welfle weddings got WOODEN PENCILS AS PARTY FAVORS

I loved that movie as a kid and still think about it all the time! But I’m not—
Week 4 of unemployment: I finally figured out how to set a picture of my cat as the sleep screen of my weird little ebook reader. This is likely the biggest victory of my week.
“Give your agent legs” is a wild way to say: “we hired a guy, and he has a backpack” Congratulations, you invented couriers
The small privilege of having a beer while reading a book in the park on a nice day really does lift up my mood when things feel particularly heavy.
