The first Kit Korner of the new season has a turtleneck and is sponsored by (the concept of) The News. We break it down for you and, as always, decide if it's flash 🤩 or trash 🤮
Happy 4th anniversary to the most embarrassing thing MLS has done. Or done yet I guess.
Speaking of blackout kits, the QPR NYC blackout kit is still available! qprnyc.bigcartel.com/category/ant...
A Kit Korner Summer Special - three flash kits from Summer holiday destinations in case you want to wear something other than the 1990 England third kit (still the ultimate Summer shirt).
Like QPR, Dun is apparently on the beach so here’s your reminder that a new QPR NYC Pod episode is out! In Ant’s Kit Korner, an Ipswich kit that looks suspiciously French and features Andy’s new favorite sponsor. But is it ooh-la-la🤩 or merde🤮? Give it a listen: open.spotify.com/episode/09Ru...
A wild and divisive week in our penultimate Kit Korner of the season! This one has everything: An insane adidas template! John Harkes! An incomprehensible sponsor! An American football ass logo! Come for the kits, stay for the pod. And have your say: flash🤩 or trash🤮
This felt like a fun episode to record so I hope it’s an enjoyable listen as well. Over in the Kit Korner, we turn the clock back nearly 40 years to take a look at the kit Millwall wore the last time they were promoted to the top division. Promotion worthy? Maybe. But is it flash🤩 or trash🤮
Back in the host chair for this one with @dbhoops.bsky.social and @tinglejk.bsky.social In this week's Kit Korner we have Bristol City's shirt from one of their greatest victories. It's purple, it's lime...but is it flash🤩 or trash🤮
In a special Celebrity Kit Korner, Steve Gallen recalls his favorite kits including one from his youth. And then...ahem...a totally different Steve Gallen joins this week's regular installment where we all decide if classic shirts from Watford and Preston are flash🤩 or trash🤮
If the @usmnt.ussoccer.com lays an absolute egg at the World Cup this summer and loses all 3 group matches it will somehow still not be the most embarrassing thing to happen in US Soccer in the last 5 years.
Time for another round of Kit Korner Internationale! We look at a Belgium kit inspired by everyone's favorite Belgian character (other than Jean-Claude Van Damme) and a very unique situation with a classic Japan design. And as always, we decide if they're flash🤩 or trash🤮
Here is the Portsmouth kit featured in Ant’s Kit Korner this week. If it had a fun, “bruised banana”-esque nickname, it would be every bit as iconic. Let’s call it the “frozen baggie of blueberries.” Pass it on.
Birmingham City are wearing their home kit today and it’s as boring as you’d expect. At least they continue to have a somewhat decent kit sponsor, although their logo kind of looks crap on the shirt. Also Nike keep finding new ways to make awful looking collars. It’s honestly impressive. 2/5
In the Kit Korner, we discuss a pair of kits that are far more interesting than what Birmingham City are wearing today (or what Leicester City will wear on Saturday, no doubt). Plus we look at a tribute that has little to do with the original. Interesting yes, but are they flash🤩 or trash🤮
A real pleasure speaking with QPR legend Clint Hill. And in a mini version of Ant’s Kit Korner, we talked about some of Clint’s favorite kits.
Over in Ant's Kit Korner we head back to the turning of the millennium with a Sheffield United kit that surely holds the record for appearances of a club nickname (in words and pictures). But is it flash🤩 or trash🤮
Unrelated, but @qprnewyorkcity.bsky.social recently awarded our first Peace Prize to our own @dbhoops.bsky.social. No word on whether or not he was also screwed by Norway.
So great getting to speak with Tyler on the pod and you know @andyelrick.bsky.social had to ask him about that Stephen Duke-McKenna shirt. Then in the Kit Korner, we visit Flamingo Land and decide if an iconic Southampton shirt is flash🤩 or trash🤮
Last week Charlton wore the same kit we saw earlier in the season so I skipped a week. This week we have this eyesore of a Blackburn away kit. Never a fan of gold (no matter what Jimmy Dunne said about ours last year) but being shiny takes it down a notch. 2/5
Kit Korner and a half this week! We talked to Ed, Chloe and Jack from QPR about some of their favorite kits from the clubs they grew up supporting and their favorite QPR shirts from their time on staff. Then we took a look into Blackburn's past and decided if it was flash🤩 or trash🤮
