Was trying to figure out why the Gen Zish trend of wearing overpriced mary jane flats to the office was weirding me out, then remembered how 99% of my female friends in high school tore their feet to shreds in these bad boys. #DontDoIt

A round-toe, black cotton mary jane sandal with a thin rubber sole. I think you used to be able to get them in packs of 3 at Pier 1. My god, the death grip these things had on teenage/20-something suburban girls in 1994.
