This way I'm morally obligated to get the campaign started... ...sarcasm aside, this thing lived up to the hype.
Thank you Christopher and Adam, if this is the end of SOTM then you've made something truly special. Opening Disparation tonight was a lovely trip through the hundreds of hours I've spent listening to you lie.
Home sick, cleared my last TBR book yesterday, the library is closed due to snow, and the next @aconytebooks.bsky.social release hasn't been set up for previews yet. Bah!
Are you an OG Arkham Horror LCG player and your OCD got itchy because your TDE & TIC campaigns weren't in a lovely box, because some sadist discontinued the Return To product line? You can pick up the discontinued rerelease, and pay the nerd tax, but I recommend this Etsy product.
Looking forward to it...as I check availability multiple times a week...
This is what it takes to make single player, 4 handed, Arkham come together in my house.
You're correct, there isn't a stack of Core Set encounter cards in the original photo. That's because despite my fastidious organization, I have managed to misplace them within my collection. Did I lose them? Of course not, they're in there...somewhere. In fact there are several sets in there. Over
Progress is getting made towards launching "The Final Fate of Arkham"...
The announcement of "Chapter 2" has me jazzed to step up my Arkham Horror community contribution. Like building 8 decks for Dream Eaters and working in Canva to do a Ken Burns style recap of a full "Final Fate of Arkham" run of Chapter 1 level jazzed.
And then there were werewolves. I'm excited to dig fully into the newest @arkhamhorror.bsky.social release!
1) I found out last week that Richard Launius created the original Arkham Horror in my home city back in the 80s. 2) Someone stopped the cultists from finishing their ritual because this portal, above my city, closed itself tonight.
Happy "Week of Horror" everyone! There is a Shoggoth's worth Arkham Files content dropping this week, but my week started with the delivery of @rosemaryjones.bsky.social's newest book on my door step. It's an awesome read, my review is below, but boy howdy was it cool to see my "name" in print.
This is what Harry Callum would have worked with at the Palace Movie Theater, Arkham's first dedicated movie theater. Harry blames the flickering otherworldly images that sometimes appear on screen on the projector's technical difficulties, but tall, dark and nickel-trimmed looks flawless in person.
Today in @arkhamhorror.bsky.social's history... 10/17/1926: Auggie Olmstead met with Professor Tilde Felix, who had a background in anthropology, in regards to the Green Man medallion his girlfriend, Isabelle Barnes, owned. The item had been sent to "Izzy" by her sister Guinevere "Jenny" Barnes.
Ummm, "history of @arkhamhorror.bsky.social" you say?!?!? If you need a hand I'll clear my schedule :)
I have my 4 Miskatonic-themed decks for season 2 of the Hunters' Dunwich Legacy community run! If you're building multiple decks and not using the below site you're doing yourself a disservice. It clears your overlaps and gives you a streamlined shopping list for easy building. arkham-starter.com
Issue one when building a Daisy deck from a collection that started in 2016, picking a Daisy.
Challenge coins are a part of my work place life, so I decided to commemorate my year of sobrity in my own way. This will join my EDC and ride around with me as a reminder that not everything is as difficult as it may seem, and that perspective matters.
Yes, I keep my collection sleeved and I'm not ashamed to say I net deck every time. This is what it takes for me to have a reasonable shot at fitting a session of the LCG I adore into my life. Much love and appreciation to those in the community that write such amazing guides on Arkhamdb.com
Loot Studios' announcement for their new cycle of minis, tied to the new RPG campaign, is heading our way this Wednesday, the 13th.
Thanks to @drainsmith.bsky.social for sharing the newest copy of the Arkham Advertiser on the Arkham Horror Discord! New products are announced, lots of great content for Terror Antartica and, what I think is, a further hint about the next LCG campaign! discord.com/channels/102...
Did I buy this the day it came out? Yes. Will I have a lore article up about the 6 pre-made investigators within the week? Hell yes I will. Will I actually start playing the campaign this year...mmmmmmmaybe.
I came home from the office, for my first night of vacation, to find Bezos having shipped @timpratt.org's next Arkham book to me. First reaction? Total panic that I'd screwed up the release date and was late posting my early review. All good I still have days before publication :)
If I'm not mistaken the Arkham RPG is the first time "Ashcan" Pete has had a last name provided...
Ithaqua arrived in Innsmouth the next morning to be greeted with harpoons, .45s, "Becky", a Tommy Gun, a couple of Blessed individuals and a whole lot of focus. In the end Dexter gave up his body to contain the creature, but it was a price worth paying for the salvation of Arkham. 13/15 Doom
Is it cramped? Yes. However, it's the spare table so in theory I can run this leisurely throughout the coming days without anyone in my home jacking up the space. Looking forward to dealing with Ithaqua for the first time in my Arkham Files career.
