Love animals, art, books, football & F1. Crawley Town ST holder. I talk about my dogs a lot. I support 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️♿️
Mr Q came to join me on the proviso that I would throw his squeaky toy for him.
Mr Hamish did go to the groomers today and we got a mid-trim shot of him being a very good boy. Then he came home and had major zoomies and was not a good boy, but at least he will hopefully be cooler now. Gosh, I love him.
Nice morning walk, now watching the race in bed with some chocolate and some pain meds. ☀️
Generally don't film at gigs, but last night Blue October played my absolute favourite song and the Roundhouse is such an aesthically pleasing venue, so I did film one chorus.
Spot the Hamish having a sunset run at the field. Mr Quincy went to a garden centre for the first time today and had lots of new sniffs, so it's been an all round exciting day for my little guys.
Today is #WorldMSDay. MS was first suggested as a vague possibility to me when I was ill in 2024. At this point I had no damage in my brain, so MS was not diagnosed and I was told it was statistically unlikely that I would develop it. Unfortunately, a diagnosis was confirmed in March this year. 1/
New glasses were delivered today! They are freaking crooked ffs 😆🤦♀️ As such, I am looking very 'eccentric, slightly peculiar, middle-aged auntie' here ha.
In lieu of going out anywhere (because I just cannot with the heat), we built another set today. Really enjoyed this one. As an AM fan, I suspect building this will turn out to be more exciting than watching tonight's GP...
Pleasant but v v warm 6am trip to the dog field with H. Lovely to hear the birdsong including a pair of mallards that flew by.
We are using our long weekend wisely and are having a Saturday morning Lego building session in the garden. One set done!
Mr Quincy has had his summer haircut and now he looks teeny weeny 🤣. He was quite unsure what to make of the funfair in the park this morning, although thankfully we were very early this morning so it was not yet open or making loud noises.
To think we used to spend our afternoons gossiping through science class and now we spend them in the West End. Banging lunch, great company, great show. Loving this new bright dress too.
A lovely surprise today - Beautiful flowers from a very kind colleague who knows things are a bit rough for me right now. Brightly coloured because she knows I love colour. Absolutely made my day. 💐
Last season, Crawley Town were relegated from League One by just one point. At the end of this season, we stay in League Two by just one point. Funny old game. Roll on 2026/27.
A fellow chronically ill friend sent me this and if it ain't an accurate representation of life once you've over 30, I dunno what is
What a difference a week makes. Last Tues, Mr Q had been on a drip all day, came home for the night with a cannula still in ready for another drip Wed morning and couldn't eat or drink. Tonight he's been back at his usual obedience class with his daddy. ❤️
These two both got a new squeaky toy today after being so brave at their respective vets/hospital appointments all week. 💕
Two games left of the season and I can hardly bear to look. Crawley are away at Accrington (16th) today and we must come away with all three points, especially as next week our last game is against Salford (3rd). Bit reliant on other teams getting poor results too. V v squeaky bum time.
Mr Q is home and has kept down some fluids for the first time since Sunday! Hopefully he's properly on the mend now. Tomorrow, Mr H goes to see his new specialist to see if he's going to need a big op. Please keep thinking of my little guys, I love them so much. ❤️
This is absolutely bonkers. I know the National Leagues are super competitive, but this just shows how hard it will be for Crawley to come back up if we get relegated. Very, very squeaky bum time.
Just realised I forgot to post that a few weeks ago I was fortunate enough to receive a book through @biggreenbooks.bsky.social #buyastrangerabook scheme. I chose this which has been on my TBR since it came out last year. Looking forward to reading it after I've finished my current library books.
I am very much a 'fidgety, need to keep my hands and mind busy' type, attracted to anything colourful or shiny and I bought this last year, then promptly forgot about it. Took it to my appointment today and I think I'm going to take it to all my appointments now. Creator is Glassy Silver.
